Zwakala River Retreat is a perfect place to chill and get away from the stress of the city life. Our Limpopo self catering accommodation is simply beautiful and we have chosen not to have electricity. Instead we believe that the simplicity of candle light and lamps, steaming hot water from a donkey boiler and a 'lekka' fire make for romance, talking, dreaming and togetherness. Legodi Cottage is a two bedroomed cottage which sleeps 4 people comfortably. There is also space for 2 children on the large built in couches surrounding the fireplace. Fully equipped with gas stove and fridge, large inside fireplace, outside braai area and a deck overlooking river. Down duvets keep the winter chills at bay. |

Zwakala Log Cabin:
| A delightful one-bedroom log cabin with on suite bathroom and beautiful views over the river. The cabin has a covered kitchen area and outside picnic table, braai and fireplace. An old-fashioned small wood stove inside the cabin keeps it warm and cozy on cold misty days. Ideal for two adults, but could also sleep a child with a queen sized bed and a ¾-sized couch bed. Fully equipped and serviced on request. |  |
Zwakala Campsite:
Our Limpopo camping site is situated next to the Broederstroom River. Experience the quietness and the beauty of the stars at night. The gurgling of the river over rapids and small waterfalls will ensure the best sleep ever. The campsite has a covered kitchen area with a large fireplace ideal for the cold misty days. An outdoor hotwater shower and a flush loo with a view make up the ablution facilities. It's a private campsite so if you book it its yours only for the duration of your stay. Ideal for groups of up to 16 people. |

Mina's @ Zwakala:
| Once the original old farmhouse and then later the farm shed and Mina's house, this newly renovated venue is charming with whitewashed walls, stripped old doors, and an old-fashioned front terraced garden with magnificent trees. Inside, a variety of textures such as old stonewall reveals, washed rustic latte ceilings, cement floors and piles of wood for the fireplace add interest to the simple white washed walls and give the venue a unique character. Able to accommodate up to 100 people comfortably, the venue is used for parties, weddings, art or other exhibitions, music performances or special gatherings. Catering on request. |  |
Craft Centre:

There is also a craft centre on the farm where a range of decor products are woven from invasive plants. The co-operative members will welcome you to come and try out your ancient weaving skills. Indigenous Medicinal Plants:
The is a nursery on our premises where we grow indigenous medicinal plants. Here we also dry indigenous flowers and make medicinal teas. The following indigenous medicinal plants are available at Zwakala River Retreat:
