Directions:
From Johannesburg:
- Take the N1 towards Polokwane;
- Just before Polokwane - turn left towards Tzaneen;
- Drive around Polokwane and turn right at the third 4-way crossing;
- Turn onto the R71 towards Tzaneen;
- Go straight and follow R71 towards Magoebaskloof;
- Pass Hanertsburg village about 56km from Polokwane, and keep on straight. Turn left at Cheerio Road (about 4 km from Haenertsburg Village);
- Keep left on the dirt road for 5.5km and follow Zwakala Signs (ignore all right forks);
- To get to cottages and campsite turn left at the large sign which says ZWAKALA RIVER RETREAT, River cabins and camping. FARM L 10 This takes you along the river road and on to the cottages and campsite.
